Are caregivers allowed to use Vscan Air independently?

Vscan Air is a mobile ultrasound machine for qualified and trained healthcare professionals. Whether caregivers are allowed to use it independently depends on the respective legal framework, qualifications and internal requirements. Appropriate training is a prerequisite.

Can caregivers perform ultrasound-guided venipuncture?

Trained nurses can use Vscan Air to support ultrasound-guided venipuncture by using the linear probe to display the vein and needle in real time. Whether this may be done independently depends on the legal framework and internal requirements of the institution. Appropriate training in ultrasound technology and puncture is a prerequisite for safe use.

Is Vscan Air suitable for bladder volume measurement in care?

Yes, Vscan Air CL is suitable for bladder volume measurement in care. With the Auto Bladder Volume function, the device automatically provides the width, depth, height and volume of the bubble as well as a real-time image within seconds with the help of AI. This helps to avoid unnecessary catheterizations and reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections.

What training do caregivers need to use Vscan Air?

Vscan Air is intuitively designed via a touchscreen app, making it easy to get started. For simple applications such as AI-supported bubble volume measurement, only a short briefing is necessary. Product tutorials and instructional videos available online guide you step by step through app operation and basic functions and thus support the initial familiarization. For diagnostic examinations, nurses should also complete structured ultrasound training.

Is Vscan Air suitable for mobile care and home visits?

Yes, Vscan Air is well suited for mobile care services and home visits.
